Chris Coward

Chris Coward has been an Executive Coach and Facilitator since 2006. She has over twelve years experience managing and leading people working in organizations, and has partnered with individuals and teams in both large and small organizations, using her strengths based approach to improve their communication, leadership presence, and relationship management.

Chris is an experienced seminar facilitator, using experiential learning along with her talent in creating a learning atmosphere of trust, fun, and personal/professional growth. She helps clients create and implement individualized plans to enhance their leadership skills. Some of the areas she has helped clients develop include: leadership courage, confidence, effective communication, team development, self-awareness and stress management.

Chris also uses a number of coaching tools and assessments, including: ChangeGrid, VIA Character Strengths Assessment, 360-degree interviews and the Habit Constellation.
Prior to becoming a coach, Chris worked in non-profit management. Since then she has worked for organizations such as: Wawa, Verizon, Hess, Pennsylvania Council for Children, Youth and Families, Wordsworth, Methodist Services, Friends Life Care, Resources for Human Development, Montgomery County Educational System, LaSalle Non-profit Centre, Widener University, and Neumann University.

Chris received her Bachelor’s degree from Duke University and her Masters in Social Work from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She earned the Certified Mentor Coach (CMC) certification from MentorCoach and received her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credentialing from the International Coach Federation (ICF). She is a member of the ICF and served on the board for the Philadelphia Area Coach Alliance (PACA). She is the author of the Leader’s Edge, an on-line newsletter and has also co-developed a 125-hour coach training program that is being taught at Neumann University since  the spring of 2010.
