Vanessa is a serial founder, operator, strategist, and investor with over 25 years of experience across tech, media, and consulting. She is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Sugarwork, an enterprise SaaS knowledge sharing platform.
Previously, as Vice President of SAP.iO, SAP’s early-stage venture arm, Vanessa oversaw SAP.iO North America and accelerated 87 enterprise software startups. She also served as COO at Trigger Media Group, co-founding InsideHook and Fevo. Her career began at McKinsey & Company, where she became an Associate Partner in the Media and Entertainment Practice.
Vanessa serves as a Non-Executive director for Appen Ltd. (ASX: APX) and Goodman Group (ASX: GMG). She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and cum laude from Harvard Law School. A former Fulbright Scholar, she conducted research on international war crimes tribunals.
Active in Harvard alumni affairs, Vanessa is a member of Harvard University’s Board of Overseers and a Past President Director of the Harvard Alumni Association, having served as President from 2021-2022.
