The firm’s focus on inclusion is what drives lasting change to help improve business performance
Talking Talent, a global coaching firm that inspires inclusive cultures that allow people and organizations to thrive, announced that Anu Mandapati has been appointed the VP of Inclusion with Purpose, North America.
In her new role, Anu is responsible for leading and growing Talking Talent’s Inclusion with Purpose service line across North America. Inclusion with Purpose is a unique, commercially-focused, coaching-led approach to organizational diversity and inclusion that links to clients’ business purposes and is focused on delivering systemic change and sustainable performance.
Anu brings over 20 years of DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging), leadership and organizational development experience to her new role. Since 2004, Anu has held pivotal leadership roles at PwC, IMPACT Leadership for Women, and Quicken Loans where she was known for providing a differentiated client experience and driving results such as successfully facilitating 300% business growth by building an exceptional diverse talent pipeline for mid to senior level leadership roles, driving an 85% increase of women in leadership, and 40% increase of women in senior leadership. In addition, she is a contributing author in two books, The Female CEO and A View From The Top: Exceptional Leadership Strategies for Women, and has been featured in a variety of media publications like Forbes, Fortune, Inc. and Money.
Mandapati says, “It is critical that organizations have a systemic approach as they address diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. It’s past time that we address real root causes versus engaging in quick-fix, check-the-box unconscious bias training or upskilling all diverse staff. It is about doing the real work that has meaningful, sustained impact like addressing similarity bias in areas like hiring, assigning stretch assignments, and making promotion decisions in addition to measuring intersectional data such as ethnicity and gender to see where an organization (still) needs to focus. I am excited to join Talking Talent where we can help organizations create sustained, impactful change at the individual, interpersonal, team and organizational levels.”
Talking Talent’s long-term view is that diversity alone is not enough. Equally essential is building an inclusive culture at every level of an organization that empowers all people to achieve their full potential and drive business results.
Added Teresa Hopke, CEO North America, Talking Talent, “We are honored to have Anu join Talking Talent. Her vision of the new world of work is directly in line with Talking Talent’s mission. We believe that cultivating more human centered organizations where leaders create cultures of inclusion and belonging, helps create competitive advantage and drives business growth. Anu will bolster these efforts on behalf of our clients and work towards creating a more inclusive world.”
