Oxfordshire-based Talking Talent has collected a prestigious national award for its work in helping organisations drive positive change for women and working parents.
The coaching consultancy claimed the top award of the evening – ‘Consultancy of the Year’ – at the 2016 Personnel Today Awards, held last night (22nd Nov 2016) in the glamorous surroundings of the Great Room of the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane.
The ‘Consultancy of the Year’ accolade is awarded to companies who work collaboratively with other businesses to make the greatest impacts to achieve specific commercial goals. These include diversity aspirations, retention, employee relations and learning and development.
Established in 2005, Talking Talent works with a diverse range of FTSE clients, in banking, professional services, and legal industries through to FMCG to help them develop and support their female talent pipelines, as well as reap the commercial benefits of doing so. Support comes in the form of coaching and consultancy in areas such as key parental transitions, leadership development, and gender diversity, and is delivered via a true partnership approach.
After receiving the award, Co-founder and CEO Chris Parke said: “We are extremely proud to be selected as the Personnel Today’s Consultancy of the Year.
“It is a testament to both Talking Talent and our clients’ hard work, and it is a great honour to be recognised by the industry with the top award.”
Barclays, Lloyds Banking Group, and Unilever were among the impressive clients being showcased in Talking Talent’s submission.
In terms of results achieved, the Women in Leadership coaching programme at Lloyds Banking Group saw 80% of 2015 cohorts have either received a promotion, moved roles and/or took on increased responsibility.
Multinational consumer goods company Unilever, has rolled out to over 90 countries within 18 months Talking Talent’s online solution, designed to support working parents and managers before, during and after parental leave.
Jo Lyon, Co-founder and Managing Director: “We are delighted to be recognised by the industry for our work. From our perspective, this award reflects the work being done in the gender space and illustrates how coaching can support the increase in female representation at senior management levels, empower working parents and exceed their aspirations around gender.”
Rob Moss, Personnel Today’s editor, said: “Congratulations to all our winners. This was a particularly good year for innovation in the Awards – entries showed just how capable the HR function is of dealing with major technological and people change.”
