Wellbeing is a strategic business issue. Individuals are experiencing more strain than ever before. Stress and burnout are increasingly common, and emotional exhaustion prevails in most organisations.
It is vitally important for individuals and organisations to pay attention to sustainability, welfare and balance. The consequences of getting this wrong can lead to burnout, disengagement, poor performance, loss of employees, customers and profits.
Talking Talent supports organisations to establish a proactive and preventative approach to wellbeing. Using a real systemic approach, Talking Talent works with individuals and organisations to create coaching-led interventions designed to enhance wellbeing, identify unhelpful behaviours, explore options and provide tools to deliver lasting change.
Interventions are focused around creating authentic relationships, sustaining vitality and energy, improving intellectual engagement, building resilience and equanimity, increasing sense of meaning, purpose and direction, as well as identifying balance and boundaries.
Talking Talent and MEWS
Talking Talent partners with The Managerial and Executive Wellbeing Survey (MEWS) to undertake an initial diagnostic. MEWS is a new measure of wellbeing designed exclusively for senior people in the workplace. It is a credible and engaging tool for understanding and driving enhanced wellbeing for individuals’ and the organisation’s benefit. Talking Talent are excited to be first organisation to pioneer the tool in the UK and US in relation to gender led initiatives.
Drawing from cutting edge research and first hand insights into the stresses and strains of senior leaders, the MEWS survey explores the aspects of work and life which have the most impact wellbeing.
Upon completion of the MEWS survey a report will be generated which will be supported with insightful feedback and coaching from one of our leading coaches. They will ensure all results are translated and interpreted clearly, giving practical and straightforward advice that can be integrated easily into the coaching intervention or organisational wellbeing strategy.
Outcomes of ‘Wellbeing at Work’
Wellbeing is central to achieving the strategic aims for the organisation and the goals of the individual by:
- driving sustained performance in your senior women, working parents and their teams
- enhancing productivity, engagement and retention across the organisation
- building wellbeing and resilience at the individual level
- reducing absenteeism, burnout and the damaging impacts of ‘presenteeism’
- highlighting potential flight risks to ensure business continuity
- creating positive action to tackle the debilitating impact of mental ill health
- enhancing a responsible and compassionate organisational culture
How it Works
1:1 Coaching: Talking Talent introduces MEWS to 1:1 coaching when the coach or coachee identifies a need to involve wellbeing into the programme, whether it’s working parents, women’s leadership or executive, and would form the basis of 1 of the sessions. Typically within our working parents coaching, the MEWS assessment would take place on return to work from parental leave.
Senior Leadership: Talking Talent’s Wellbeing at Work can be performed across the senior leadership team to act as positive reinforcement and a proactive tool to identify particular areas of risk to the individual and business continuity. An individual report is produced and followed up with 1 face to face coaching session.
Consulting Session: Talking Talent can also run consultative group sessions across a team, function or an area known to have wellbeing issues. A collective report highlighting key trends, strengths, weaknesses, similarities and differences will be produced and followed by a group coaching session to design a strategy for enhancing wellbeing.
